Paul G. Schempp, PhD, named the 2004 Distinguished Scholar by the International Center for Performance Excellence at West Virginia University, has dedicated his professional life to understanding what it takes to be an expert performer. As a professor at the University of Georgia, he has spent more than a decade conducting award-winning research into the characteristics and development of expertise.
Schempp, president of Performance Matters, Inc., has more than twenty-five years of experience in the fields of research, education, and professional development. The author of four books, he is an internationally renowned speaker, scholar, and consultant. He has served as a Senior Fulbright Research Scholar at the University of Frankfurt (Germany) and as a visiting professor at the Nanyang Technical University (Singapore).
