The Drake House works with many agencies to provide programs and services to prevent homelessness, provide emergency/ short-term crisis, transitional and permanent housing solutions. Single mothers comprise the majority of households below 200% of the poverty line in our community.

The average Drake House mother is 38 years old, she has 2 kids,  and a post high school education.  A little more than half of our mothers are employed when entering our program and 90% are employed when they exit. We work hard to provide many different services to help these mothers create a new and better life for their families.

Services Offered By The Drake House

  • Housing – each family is provided a fully furnished private apartment home that is inspected weekly to ensure compliance to the program
  • Empowerment Programs – weekly meeting with Family Assessment Manager to develop a personalized empowerment plan; weekly meeting with Career Coach to assist with job search skills and employment opportunities
